Feminism as a Cult of Destruction: The Frankfurt School, Hegel's Dialectic, and the Politics of Negation

Modern feminism is not a women's rights movement. It is the Frankfurt School's revolution in a new costume. It descends from Marx through Horkheimer, Adorno, and Marcuse into Beauvoir, Millett, and intersectional theory. It operates through Hegel's dialectic – thesis, antithesis, synthesis – and it cannot articulate what it is for, only what it is against. The politics of negation produces no program, no destination, no reconciliation. It produces only the Great Refusal – a permanent revolution against the existing order, justified by a worldview in which all women who do not embrace it are trapped in false consciousness. The women who decline the dialectic are dismissed as collaborators of the patriarchy. The men are declared the enemy. Beauty is negated. The family is negated. The category of woman itself is negated. And when you ask what remains, the answer is the same as it has always been since Marcuse: nothing can be articulated, because the language itself has been contaminated by the oppressor.
